Biography
Appears as a “clericus” of Maximilian’s chapel in the “Rotulus nominationum Maximiliani I” (c. 1508), fol. 151v (Nº 174), petitioning for a benefice in the nunnery in Göss (diocese of Salzburg). See Reichert 1954, p. 110. He also appears as a bass in a list of the singers in the imperial chapel at the Imperial Diet in Trier, 1512. “Des selben tages [Montag nach Letare 1512] vnd die zit hat die Trierische Cantzlie zu gast gehabt des Keisers Senger. Irer Namen: D. Thomas [Krieger?], tenor. D. Wilhelmus [Waldner?], bas. D. Gregorius [Valentianian?], tenor. [Johannes] Rotensteyner, bas. Georius [sic] Fogel, alt. Nicodemus [Kulwagner?], bas. Georius [sic] [Bassitz?], alt. Gregor, tenor. Michael [Täschinger?], tenor. Cum 10 iuuenibus. Die inen vorgestallt gerichte: Mandelsoppe. Heiß Carpen. Kappesmueß und Backfisch.
