Johannes [Jean] le Conte {Clement VII-Paul III}
Soprano; Arras; admitted 24 December 1528 along with Pierre Lambert and Yves Barry [according to the list in DS 2, fol. 94v]; mandati: July-September 1529, April 1530- June 1549; punctator in 1536 .
It seems likely that Le Conte was one of the singers recruited for the chapel by Jean Conseil in 1528. Although Le Contes name does not appear among the six singers in the special payment of 10 January 1529 that seems to refer to this recruiting trip, the date of his entry into the chapel given in the list in DS 2 is the same as that of Lambert and Barry, two of the singers in the 1529 list. In 1546, Le Conte was sent to the Council of Trent and followed the Council to Bologna in 1547.
