Biography
PirroBN, acta1059, 170v, 17.10.1455: Recipitur in tenoristam Stephanus communiter dictus Robastre… 173v, 10.11: Item dant dni novo tenoriste de Perona pro emptione unius cape 4 lb.
Etienne Robastre, tenorist: had been one of the messengers of the church before his reception as a small vicar on 16 October 1455 [CBM 1059, 170v]. His reception was not noted in the wine account, but he appears in the list for 23 December 1455 and served until 21 December 1456 [LAN, 4G 7454, 5v; 4G 7455, 5v]. He is probably the “new tenor from Peronne” given a robe in November 1455 [CBM 1059, 172v], since he had been promised one upon his reception. Curiously, on 09 March 1457 he an Jehan de Guise, described as small vicars, are to be punished for their absences, but Robastre had stopped being a small vicar the previous December (Guise would serve until 04 November 1457) [CBM 1059, 261r]. This is the last notice of him I have found.
